Tryavna - Architectural Reserve

Tryavna is a unique architectural-ethnographic complex in the Central Balkan Mountains, known for its Revival houses and woodcarving traditions. The town is declared an architectural reserve and is part of UNESCO.

Architecture

Tryavna has preserved over 140 architectural monuments from the Revival period with beautiful wooden houses, bridges and churches. Visitors can walk through the narrow cobblestone streets.

Woodcarving

Daskalov House

The house-museum of Petko and Pencho Slaveykovi is one of Bulgaria's most beautiful Revival houses, with a rich collection of icons, furniture and period items.
